Good thing I re-read my last blog post, otherwise I would have totally forgot to post about my sons latest & greatest obsession...APPLE BUTTER! My company sends out a monthly newsletter, and they feature a new recipe on each one. This one caught my eye, but I have to admit, I was timid about giving it a go. It ended up being A LOT of work (for my husband - he volunteered to peel all 3 lbs of apples), but the end result was exactly what the title is...SIMPLE & SWEET!
I couldn't just can the apple butter and give it away all plain, I had to spruce it up a bit. I stood in line for an entire hour (with my 3 year old in tow) to get 1/2 yard of fabric (which was entirely too much I might add), and came home to assemble the Cricut apples from the Doodlecharms cartridge. Here is the end result, I was so pleased. The response from the people who received a jar was the greatest reward, OH, and that my 3 year old was begging for apple butter on EVERYTHING!!!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this latest post. I sure do hope to post more of my latest creations...until then, happy crafting!

Wishing you well
There's another card on tap for today, and this one was for my grandmother who recently had knee replacement surgery. She's one tough cookie, but even still, it always feels good to know that someone (in this case, A LOT of someones) is wishing you a speedy recovery! My recent obsession is the Cuttlebug, and pair that with my last obsession, BUTTONS, and you've got yourself a cute card! Here it is:
I love the embossing folders you can get for the Cuttlebug, there's something for everyone!
Here's a close-up of the card, with the focus being this cute "feel better" stamp I found while digging through the DOLLAR bins at Michael's. I always find at least one stamp on every trip, and for a buck, you can't beat it. Just a little tip though, check the actual stamp to make sure it's not crooked, that's a real pain to get lined up on your project!
I hope you enjoyed today's card. My next post will have your mouth watering, so check back soon! Happy Crafting!

Every moment is worthy of a card
Whether you are giving thanks or wishing someone a happy birthday, there is always a way to turn that into a card! Below I will show you a few of my latest card creations, and I must say, I'm getting craftier with each one I do...practice makes perfect, well, at least better!
First up, a thank you card for a sweet baby gift I received. I wanted to try out using some ribbon, and I was so happy with how it turned out...UNTIL, my white ink I used on my stamp smeared all over the place. Luckily I was able to peel off the small square and replace it using black ink on white paper instead.
Next up is a couple of birthday cards I made for my sister and my father. I recently purchased a Cuttlebug Machine, and I haven't really been able to use it, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to give it a go. Here they are, and I have to say, on behalf of my family, they loved them ;)
This card was made using my Cuttlebug and my new iRock tool. I pulled the paper from an old stack I had, along with some coordinating ribbon and viola, card created! Super easy, but I loved the look. The only thing I would have changed would be to have used more 3D dots. I only used 2, and the embossed paper sagged in the spots without the dots.
The next card I made was for my Dad. I used my Cuttlebug again to emboss a strip down the side, stamped the center, colored it in with some colored pencils and dazzled it up a bit with my iRock tool. Here's the end result!
Same thing happened with this card, it sagged in the middle where no dots were applied...live and learn I guess.
This just goes to show you that you don't need a lot of fancy stuff on a card to have it still look nice! I think what my family enjoys most is that I took the time to give them something from the heart...sagging centers and all ;)
I've still got some cards to show you, so keep checking back. The next one coming is a get well card I made using a cute new stamp found in the DOLLAR bins at Michael's! Happy Crafting!

My Memories Software Contest
Hello All,
Thanks for visiting my blog today. I've got an exciting giveaway from My Memories digital scrapbooking site. They selected me to try out their new software and review it here, and best of all, I get to share it with one lucky follower!
I've always made traditional scrapbooks because I thought there was no way you could make a digital scrapbook look as good, boy was I wrong. Using this digital scrapbooking software was so easy, and user friendly, even a first timer like me figured it out. They've got so many options for backgrounds and embellishments, the possibilities are endless. I've got so many ideas swirling around in my head, I just have to find the time to put them all together using My Memories great stuff!
Now, how to win...All you have to do is become a follower of my blog (if your'e not already), then head on over to My Memories, take a look around, come back here and comment on what you loved most on their site. It's that easy. I will run this contest for 1 week, so check back next Wednesday to see if you're the lucky Scrapper!
Here's a little taste of what I was able to create in just a few minutes with their software...imagine what you could do!!!
You can also find My Memories on Facebook here. Good luck to you all! Happy Scrapping!

Personalized Autograph Books
My cousin's little girl turned 2 a few months ago, and because I am such a scatter-brain, I didn't get her gift off until just recently. I wanted to make a Disney Autograph Book to go with the little outfit we got her, so when she makes her first trip to Disneyland, she'd have something all her own for the characters to sign. I've made several of these books, and they're just so much fun I have to keep re-posting them.
The main book was cut at 5" from the Mickey & Friends cart, the star was also cut from M&F's at 3". Circle and initial were cut from the Plantin cart at 3".
